UChicago RideSmart offers unlimited free evening & late-night rides on and around the University’s main campus. It is a ridesharing service that provides a smart, easy, and reliable transportation solution.

By using the app, users can easily book a ride with just a few taps, and the technology will pair them with other individuals traveling in the same direction.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Easily explore and utilize different types of transportation in your community.
• Book a ride by specifying your pickup and dropoff locations and indicating if you have additional passengers.
• You will receive an estimated arrival time for the vehicle upon booking. The app will continuously update the driver's arrival time as they head towards you.
• When your driver arrives, please board the vehicle promptly.
• There may be other passengers on board, or there might be stops along the way. You can track your ride and share your status in real-time from the app.

UChicago RideSmart's algorithm matches passengers traveling in the same direction, offering the convenience of a private ride with the efficiency of a public service.

OUR VEHICLES:

RideSmart ensures wheelchair accessibility. If you need this service, simply enable “Wheelchair accessibility” in the “Account” section of your app. When requesting a ride, you will be paired with a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
